A day in the life of Key Stage 2

A Typical Day in Year 3
8:50am Miss Miller will come out to the yard to collect the children. Attendance and dinner registers taken.
9:05-9:20am -  Whole school assembly (yr1-4 Monday-Thursday, on a Friday it is in class assembly).
9:20-10:15am - Maths time. 
10:15-10:30am - Whole School BREAKTIME. Year 3 take their snack and milk outside!
10:30-11:00am- Group reading time.
11.00-12.00pm - RWI and English time.
12.00-1pm - LUNCHTIME whole school.
1.00-3:20pm - Afternoon - topics and foundation subjects. End of the day is our lovely, special story time!
On a Friday 2:45pm is celebration assembly in the hall!! We love to celebrate our fab learning, kindness and achievements in year 3. 
Topics we will be covering in Year 3 range from The Stone Age, Egyptians, Ancient Greece, Rocks, Light and Dark and incorporating our over arching themes of 'aspirations', 'sustainability' and 'equality' into all aspects of our curriculum in Year 3.

8:50am Mrs Gates open the class door and welcomes the children into the classroom. Attendance and dinner registers taken.
9:05am - 9:20am Whole school assembly in the hall
9:20am - 10:15am Maths
10:15am - 10:30am BREAKTIME (children take their milk & fruit outside)
10:30am - 11:00am Group Reading/ Reading Skills
11:00am - 12:00pm Literacy
12:00pm - 1:00pm LUNCHTIME
1:00pm Afternoon Register
1:00pm - 3:00pm Afternoon lessons (PE, Computing, Science, History/Geography, Art & Design, D&T, Music, PSCHE, RE)
3:00pm - 3:20pm Special story time in our cosy reading corner!
