School Closure / Home Learning
Please use the links, ideas and activities below to continue your child's learning journey at home in these challenging circumstances. 
These are intended as suggestions only and by no means an exhaustive list.
You should have by now received login details, via the school app, for your child to the following sites: - a safe, secure site with access to a range of games and activities from a range of subjects. - with access to a variety of age appropriate maths games to improve mental maths  skills.  - with access to a range of digital books and linked activities. - similar to maths seeds, with access to a range of age appropriate maths based games
Other key sites to visit include: - this site has now produced year group specific home learning tasks and short videos to help teach concepts. Please clic on the Home learning tab at the top of the page and then click the year 1 icon to gain free access to resources. - this site gives parents access to videos showing you how we teach phonics/early reading at school. Simply follow the link and click on the parents section of the site. - this site is currently offering free access to all their resources, of which there are many! Once on the website click on the 'School Closure' section then go to 'Redeem your offer code'. You will need to use your email address and then input the following code: CVDTWINKLHELPS to get access. - this site is offering a 30 day free trial and has access to a range of reading based games and activities. - this is a fun site with phonics based games to play, little and often. By following the link you will gain access free of charge, using the username and passwords supplied on the landing page. the activities on this site are completely free when accessing via the website, or the iPad/tablet app is available to buy and download for approx £5, however they have been known to reduce this price, so please check before you buy. 
If you have access to a printer, you may wish to download and print the KS1 activity booklet below. It includes a range of age appropriate activities for your child to complete with different levels of adult support or guidance.

On Thursday 14th November 2019 Year 1 children invited their parents and carers into school to our very first 'Share a Book Coffee Morning'. It was a huge success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed reading their favourite stories with the people they love!
