Mr Wright attended the Seaton Valley Partnership Head Teacher meeting this morning. These take place every Wednesday morning at 8.00 am at Astley High School.
Teachers met after school to develop a Literacy Action Plan. Staff meetings take place every Wednesday at 3.15 pm.
Mr. Dey organised a poetry competition. Every child in the school took part. Pictures of the winners are in the photo section of the website
A former teacher, Miss Wilson (now Mrs. Gates) visited school today. She will be coming once a week to work in Year 1 alongside Mrs. Foreman.
A better start to this week. Judo took place for 19 year 3 and 4 children.
Mr. Wright re-introduced a school newssheet. He hopes to produce one every two weeks.
Mr. Wright met with our new 'School Improvement Partner' this morning. His name is Mr. Wilson.
Mr. Wright held a meeting with the Chair of Governors, Duncan Brown, this afternoon.
25 children from Years 1 and 2 took part in the after school club to develop circus skills.
Senior leadership Team and the Governing Body held a 'Strategy Meeting' after school today. This lasted over three and half hours. We need to ensure that we build on the successful Ofsted and continue to push for further improvement.
Breakfast Club did not get off to the best of starts. 19 children were expecting Judo only for the coach to fail to turn up.
Cycling programme for Year 4 began with greater success. Richard Rothwell and Mr. Wright took 12 Year 4 children off site for the morning.
All staff were in school yesterday for a 'Training Day'. Mrs Banks (Year 2) and Mr. Oliver (Caretaker) joined the staff.
Children returned to school today. All is quiet so far!
