Coding Club with Mrs Banks 
KS1 children enjoyed their Thursday afternoon coding club sessions. In these sessions they began by using the Code-a-Pillar iPad app. Programming the caterpillar sprite to navigate pathways and over come obstacles. They were then introduced to the physical programming Code-a-Pillars and given tasks to complete. These included travelling in straight lines, in full circles to the left and to the right, around cones set out in squares and finally a combination of these as well as going through a dark tunnel. 
KS2 children learnt how to program an onscreen sprite using the Scratch programme and to develop a simple game.
They were so proud of their work and we invited parents, carers and siblings in to play the games to see if they could beat our high scores!
